Gatwick Airport back to normal after computer glitch

A computer glitch which caused disruption at Gatwick Airport this weekend has been resolved.

Over the weekend when European Summer time ended the computer system failed to update. This meant that at 2am on Sunday morning the system did not adjust back to 1am to include Greenwich Meantime.

On Sunday morning people arriving at the airport for flights faced confusion as the wrong times were displayed on the  computer system.

A spokeswoman for Gatwick Airport told Travel Weekly that everything is “back and running as normal” after the computer system problem was finally resolved at 9pm last night.

She added that there was no chaos at the airport just increased numbers of people checking their flight times.
