The Federation of Tour Operators’ members have extended the travel ban to Kenya in the wake of the political riots which left more than 300 people dead.
The ban is now in place on all departures up to and including this Friday and comes as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office continues to advise against all but essential travel to the destination.
Customers due to travel to Kenya within this period are entitled to a full refund or an alternative holiday of equal value of their choice. Customers already out in Kenya are being brought back to the UK as and when their holidays end.
A further 250,000 people have been left homeless after they fled the violence which erupted following President Kibaki’s re-election in a rigged ballot last month.
