Planet Holidays is selling weddings separately for the first time as part of its 2008 weddings programme.
Managing director Mathilde Robert said the decision was made to meet demand from agents who are increasingly dynamically packaging the wedding holidays in order to meet their customers’ requirements.
She added even if the agent only uses the operator to supply a wedding as opposed to the whole package, they will still receive first class service.
Robert said: “When you’re organising a wedding the last thing you want is for it to be messed up. You want an operator who is reliable and who offers the quality of service you expect.
“Even on their own the weddings are fully commissionable and you get the services of our reps to help.”
The operator has added nine new hotels in Cyprus, meaning customers can choose from more than 52 different venues, while in Greece five new hotels give customers the choice between 20 hotels.
As well as traditional wedding the operator is also offering ceremonies on board yachts, catamarans and in a museum while same-sex couples can book blessing ceremonies in Cyprus.
The operator is also featuring the destinations of Mauritius and Gozo for the first time too.
Robert said: “We know that this brochure will be used as a trade bible for weddings.”
Prices for a ceremony in Cyprus lead in at £410 while a Greek wedding leads in at £628.
