The Seychelles, Mauritius, Reunion, Madagascar and Comoros will be branded under a single banner as the Indian Ocean Village. Over 140 representatives from hotel groups, airlines and tourism offices across the Indian Ocean will be joining forces at World Travel Market to promote the whole region.
Luxury resort hotel Villas de Lagon is due to open next month on the island of Reunion. Details of the 174-room property featuring a hair salon, fitness centre and boutiques will be available at the Indian Ocean Village. SA Villas de Lagon, which manages the property, believes it will put Reunion in a better position to market itself as a twin-centre destination with Mauritius.
