Tradewinds has launched its first dedicated Australia programme, valid from January 2000 to March 2001, featuring self-drives, mini-stays, bookable attractions and island resorts.
Contracts manager Robbie Orr said: “People wanting a holiday in Australasia don’t turn to a worldwide brochure. We needed a dedicated programme.”
There is a range of pre-packaged, self-drive itineraries of five to seven days, including accommodation, and taking in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania.
The Discover Tasmania package takes in Hobart, Strahan, Cradle Mountain, Davenport and Launceston, and costs from £259 per person including six nights’ accommodation. South Australia gets more prominence with two and three-night stays on Kangaroo Island and the Barossa Valley.
Tradewinds has introduced stays on the Great Barrier Reef Islands. A stay on Bedarra costs £819 for three nights all-inclusive. Other products include Western Australia flydrives and stays at Cable Beach in Broome where three nights’ start at £119.
