Wizz Air saw January passenger carryings rise by more than 23% to almost 1.9 million.
This saw the load factor for eastern and central European budget carrier to rise by 4.5 percentage points to 88% over the same month last year.
This came despite capacity rising by 17% in the month to 2.1 million seats.
Passenger numbers for the 12 months to January 31 were up by 19% to 23.1 million with an improved load factor of 89.4%.
The monthly figures were issued a day after Wizz Air warned that its annual profits would be affected by disruption due to “unusually severe” weather conditions in the main areas of its operations this winter.
