Princess Cruises unveils euro pricing as it expands into Ireland

Princess Cruises has started pricing its cruises in euros for agents and customers in the Republic of Ireland.

The new pricing was made available on March 16 as the cruise line hopes to increase its presence in the country.

Director of sales Rachel Poultney will become director of sales for UK and Ireland, reflecting the line’s commitment to developing relationships with the Irish travel trade.

Poultney said: “From today we’ll be focussing on building relationships and supporting out partners in Ireland.”

Irish agents will also now have access to support from the sales team and access to online tools and training modules through onesourcecruises.com.

The cruise line will also hold its first ship visit in the country in June on the Caribbean Princess in Dublin and details of its store visit programme will be release soon.

Tony Roberts, vice president of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “The introduction of the new euro pricing is the first step towards Princess’ concerted effort to expand within the Irish market.

“We believe that there is a demand for Princess across the country and by making it easier for agents to sell our cruises we are certain that we can help agents grow their business.”
