THE SCOTTISH Convention Bureau has generated an extra £2.3m worth of conference business this year by running an off-peak discount promotion on behalf of Scottish venues.
The New Season Offers pack, which publicises conference facilities and discount rates, has been revamped for the 2000 winter season.
Discounts on delegate rates range from 10% to 37.5%.
The Stakis Aviemore hotel is offering a mid-week daily delegate rate of £85 per person, which represents a reduction of 32%.
The Farleyer House Hotel in Aberfeldy has cut its mid-week daily rate by 29% to £99 per person.
The offers are valid on bookings made between November 1 1999 and April 30 2000 for events held between January 1 and April 30 2000.
