Norwegian has bolstered its finances with the disposal of five new generation Airbus aircraft.
Arctic Aviation Assets, a subsidiary of the low cost carrier, has agreed the sale of five Airbus 320neos.
The aircraft are currently leased out and thus not operated by the airline.
Delivery will take place by the end of the year.
The deal is expected to increase the airline’s liquidity by $62 million after repayment of debt and have a “positive equity effect”.
The proceeds from the sale will be used to repay debt and to increase the carrier’s liquidity.
