Bed bank Lowcostbed.com has launched a dedicated website for travel agents.
The site, lowcostbedsagents.com, can deliver up to 700 search results in under three seconds. The company, which invested in Intuitive Systems’ technology platform iVector last year, claims the search speed is an industry first.
Other features include a ‘Manage My Booking’ section for agents to view, amend and cancel bookings online; and a ‘Dynamic Results Filtering’ section that allows agents to filter results to suit their customer’s budget, resort, board basis, star rating and property facilities among others.
Search results pages have been set up to show which properties offer free kids places, early booking discounts, free nights and upgrades.
Sales director Tim Buckman said: “This year more so than ever we are enjoying some fantastic offers from our suppliers and having the ability to direct agents to these deals is crucial.”
Agents receive commission of 15% from the bed bank, which was set up in 2004 and also owns transfer specialist Resorthoppa.
