River cruise line APT will launch three new ships in its Travelmarvel fleet from April 2020.
The first, the Travelmarvel Contemporary Class River Ship, will have light filled cabins and offer more places to dine and relax than the fleet’s two existing ships – Travelmarvel Diamond and Travelmarvel Jewel.
Two more ships, which are yet to be named, will join the Travelmarvel fleet when they launch in 2021.
All three ships will offer sailings on the line’s Essential River Cruises range.
The Travelmarvel Contemporary Class River Ship will operate APT’s Essential European Gems route from Budapest, Hungary, to Amsterdam from April next year.
It will feature a new pub-style dining option called McGeary’s Bar, which is named after the McGeary family who have owned and run APT for more than 90 years.
Dining options also include lighter choices at the Vista Lounge and fine dining.
There will also be a new roof terrace and garden on the upper deck where panoramic ceiling-to-floor windows can be opened to let air flow through the lounge.
Staterooms with French balconies that open at the touch of a button are also available.
Paul Melinis, APT UK and Europe’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to introduce this ship to our Essential River Cruise range for 2020.
“The options available on this river ship are a unique selling point for agents, as with all our products the difference is in the detail.
“Here agents can focus on the flexibility on offer, whether it comes to dining or unwinding, each area offers something special.”
Travelmarvel became part of the APT Group in 1996.
