Seafarer gains Abta membership in ‘uncertain times’

Cruise and sailing specialist Seafarer Holidays has become a member of Abta to offer enhanced protection to customers in “uncertain times”.

The operator has held an Atol licence with the Civil Aviation Authority and will now also have its holidays bonded with Abta.

Managing director Chris Lorenzo said: “In these slightly uncertain and unusual times, and in light of recent airline news, we want our customers to be able to book their holidays in complete confidence that they are totally protected and that, in the unlikely event something untoward happens, they will be safe, secure and looked after.”

Financial protection under the Abta scheme covers holidays booked with the company under the Seafarer Cruises and Seafarer Sailing brands.

The London-based company was established 23 years ago and offers itineraries operated by Variety Cruises together with other yacht and small ship firms.

Seafarer is UK general sales agent for Variety Cruises which runs a fleet of 11 vessels carrying between 34 and 72 passengers.
