Prestige Holidays has recruited two new members of staff to its reservations team in anticipation of a strong peaks market. Antony Down and Sergio Alves join the team at the operator’s Hampshire headquarters where they will deal with general reservations enquiries. Meanwhile, two former All Canada employees, Denise Hunn and Jill Tibble, have set up a new team in a satellite office in Lowestoft to handle enquiries and bookings for the operator’s recently launched Canada and Alaska programme. Prestige Holidays chairman and managing director John Dixon said: “Bookings for 2010 are looking positive. “Summer business is already 47% ahead of this time last year, and I wanted to make sure that the new staff were on board and fully knowledgeable about our product and procedures in advance of our peak booking period in January. “I am also delighted that our new satellite Canadian reservation team is up and running and that bookings have got off to a great start.” The growth in reservations staff comes as the operator launches its summer 2010 programme, with seven new hotels in Turkey, two additional properties in the Algarve and another new one in Sardinia. Marketing manager Nicky Shafe said: “Last year, the emphasis was on small boutique accommodation but in 2010 we are offering larger and all-inclusive properties as well. “In the current economic climate, clients are more keen to stick to their holiday budgets and all-inclusive options make that a lot easier. “We have introduced all-inclusive options at Hilton Dalaman and Select Maris in Turkey.”
