n Club Med postpones madagascar opening
Club Med has postponed the opening of its first resort in Madagascar until April. The property, in Nosy Be, is a former Holiday Inn which is being renovated to three-star standard and enlarged to 209 rooms. Lead-in price for one week will be from £400 perperson including full-board and water sports such as sailing, windsurfing andtennis. Flights will be extra at around £800 return,flying Air Madagascar via Paris, a 14hr journey. The operator expects to attract 30 to 50-year-old couples and is offering thempre-bookable excursions including jeep tours, nature trails and boat trips to nearby islands to see wildlife includingmonkeys.
