The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is due to open at Universal Orlando Resort on June 18.
But customers who have bought special packages with Universal’s operator partner Virgin Holidays look likely to be able to experience the attraction from the end of May.
The official announcement of the opening date is due to happen later today, but details are now being widely circulated in the US media and on the website of Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.
Customers have been able to book packages including entry to the attraction from May 28.
Reports suggest that those who have booked between that date and the official opening will be allowed exclusive entry. A set number of packages are available for the period, and are likely to become an increasingly hot commodity following today’s announcement.
Universal has been gradually unveiling details of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in a series of “reveals”, and is later expected to focus on the attraction’s showpiece ride – Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
The ride is expected to include an immersive experience while queuing for the attraction, visiting parts of Hogwarts Castle, before visitors experience a Quidditch match on the ride itself.
