Southall Travel and Audley Travel have been named in The Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100, which measures companies’ profit growth over their last three financial years.
Price comparison site Cheapflights, London City Airport, Von Essen hotels and Kew Green Hotels are also among the brands in this year’s league table.
Travel agency Southall Travel, which was highest up the list at number 8, has seen its profits increase 118% a year from £658,000 in 2006 to £6.8 million in 2009. Southall also owns trade brand Holiday Team and provides corporate travel through its Applehouse Travel brand.
At number 28 on the list, Oxfordshire-based tour operator Audley Travel has grown profits 78% a year from £778,000 in 2005 to £4.4 million in 2008.
Price comparison site Cheapflights, which made number 11, said its websites are visited by 100 milion people each year. Its profits have jumped 105.28% a year.
Hotel operator Kew Green Hotels was included at number 59 and Von Essen at number 93 in the table.
The list is compiled by Fast Track and highlights some of Britain’s best-performing private firms in tough trading conditions.
