Kuoni opens pop-up store in London shopping centre

Kuoni has opened its first pop-up travel store as it spreads its network of permanent shops across the country.

The pop-up shop has been opened in the Westfield Centre, London, and although it mirrors a permanent branch with brochure racks and leather seating, it will only be open for the next six months.

Kuoni distribution director Derek Jones said: “We have enjoyed an enthusiastic welcome from shoppers which has been supported by the number of holidays booked in the first few days of trading. Indeed, we can’t rule out the possible opening of further pop up stores in the future.

”The pop-up store is part of the Kuoni strategy for retail growth over the next 18 months. Our presence at this luxury shopping destination gives us the opportunity to mirror the aesthetics in our pop-up that we have been showcasing in our recent store openings.”

The pop-up store’s opening coincides with the opening of the operator’s newest permanent store in the Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull yesterday, Tuesday May 4.

The shop has six members of staff and is the eighth the operator has opened as part of a strategy which could see as many as 25 opened nationwide.

Jones said: “We are proud to be opening our first Kuoni travel store in the West Midlands. Our presence at Touchwood, gives us the perfect location to showcase Kuoni and invite shoppers to visit the store as part of their regular shopping trips.

“We have 18 brochures for customers to take away and read at their leisure to plan the holiday of their dreams.”
