Tui Travel is scrapping its specialist and emerging markets division as part of an internal reorganisation.
The businesses and operators currently listed in the division are being moved to other parts of the group. Its remaining activities, accommodation and destinations, and mainstream divisions are all being maintained.
Specialist and emerging destinations managing director Richard Prosser will leave Tui once the reshuffle has been completed within the next two weeks.
Tui Travel chief executive Peter Long said: “Richard is a long-standing and valued member of the group management board and senior management team at Tui Travel, and while we fully understand and respect the decision he has made, I know that he will be greatly missed across the group.
“I would personally like to thank him for all his support and the significant contribution he has made to the success of First Choice and Tui Travel during his 14 years with the group. We wish him every success for the future.”
