Thomas Cook Sport has sold out of all its World Cup packages for the impending tournament’s England group stages.
With the England squad named yesterday and set to fly out to South Africa tonight for the tournament’s start next Friday, the operator is now only offering tickets and packages for the knock-out stages of the tournament.
Managing director Danny Talbot said: “Despite what you may have read, demand from England fans to follow the team has been fantastic, and we’ve sold out of many packages more than once as we have obtained more tickets.
“Once again, England look set to be one of the best supported teams at the World Cup, with fans rising to the challenge of supporting the team at stadium spread around this vast country. It looks set to be a fantastic tournament for the fans as they experience everything South Africa has to offer.”
