Adria Airways is to start serving Liverpool John Lennon airport with flights to Ljubljana.
The service to the Slovenian capital will run twice a week from next May.
The carrier will deploy an 86-seat CRJ900 aircraft on the summer-only route between May 20 and October 24.
Flights by the Slovenia-based airline will operate on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
The Star Alliance member is the fourth new airline to announce operations from Liverpool, bringing the number carriers using the Merseyside airport up to nine.
Atol-protected holidays will be available via airport partner agency Myriad Travel.
Aviation development director Paul Winfield said: “We are delighted to welcome our latest carrier, Adria Airways, to Liverpool.
“Adria will continue to serve the north-west market, with an enhanced product, from Liverpool John Lennon airport.”
