An extra 11,000 seats to the Canary Islands are being laid by on by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays from Leeds Bradford airport this winter.
Additional flights and larger aircraft will support the expansion together with a new weekly Thursday departure to Fuerteventura from February 13 to May 14, 2020.
The Fuerteventura growth has been timed to include the February, Easter and May school half-term holidays, giving up to three flights a week.
The company will also be deploying larger aircraft to the island for a period during November.
Lanzarote will gain 6,000 more seats with a new weekly Friday flight from November 15 to December 13, bringing frequency up to five a week, as well as the addition of larger aircraft from early November.
The operator also offers year-round services to Gran Canaria and Tenerife from the Yorkshire airport.
CEO Steve Heapy said: “As the region’s biggest airline and tour operator, we have responded quickly to extra demand for our award-winning flights and Atol-protected package holidays to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura by putting on additional seats and larger aircraft.
“With more services and frequencies, holidaymakers now have even more choice and flexibility when it comes to where and when they would like to enjoy a getaway.”
Airport aviation and commercial director John Cunliffe added: “The investment to increase passenger numbers shows that demand for winter holiday travel remains strong.”
