Fresh talks have been scheduled for next Monday in the ongoing dispute between Virgin Atlantic and the union representing its pilots.
The British Airline Pilots’ Association will meet senior managers to discuss proposed changes to pilots’ rostered days off.
The two groups last met last week when the reasons for the proposals were explained.
The union is expected to report members’ feedback at next week’s meeting.
However, the threat of strikes remains should the talks fail.
The union’s national executive will meet on Thursday to consider strike plans in the event of talks falling through.
A strike would be the first in the airline’s 26-year history.
