G Adventures Change Makers 2020 heads to India and Nepal

G Adventures will hold its second Change Makers summit in India and Nepal next year.

The summit comprises a week-long trip where agents can see the impact that their bookings make on destinations sold by G Adventures. The 2020 summit will take place from April 20-26.

Trip highlights include Planeterra projects such as Women on Wheels, the Delhi Youth City Walk in India and the Sisterhood of Survivors and Panauti Community Homestay projects in Nepal.

Change Makers brings together more than 150 agents from the UK and Ireland, Europe, Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Agents can earn a place on the trip by participating in the Change Makers challenge. Agents automatically receive one entry per traveller booked. They can also enter via the ‘social good’ submission category by submitting work they have done that gives back to their local communities. The challenge is live now and will run until January 31, 2020.

The inaugural summit was held in June 2019 in Peru, with agents visiting Planeterra projects, Machu Picchu and the city of Cusco.

David Green, vice-president at G Adventures, said: “At G Adventures, we change the lives of our travellers when they choose to explore the world with us and, as leaders in community tourism, we change the lives of people in the places we go.

“The natural next step for us was to extend this experience to our valued agency partners to help them remember their own purpose, and the positive impact they have with every booking they make.”

Agents can speak to their regional global purpose specialist for more information.
