Shearings Holidays has renewed its partnership with Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club for the third year in a row.
For the past two years the tour operator has sponsored the team’s shirts and collaborated with the club to engage with its fan base and staff.
As part of the partnership, Shearings will retain exclusive rights to organise official supporter travel packages to key events such as the Betfred Super League Magic Weekend and fixtures outside the UK. They will sponsor the team’s home shirts with Shearings’ name on the shirts.
Sister brand SportingBreaks.com, also owned by Shearings’ parent Specialist Leisure Group, will now become the club’s official sports travel partner offering packages to non-rugby related events such as the Silverstone Grand Prix, the Grand National, Moto GP and other football, rugby, horse racing, darts and tennis matches. The SportingBreaks.com logo will feature on the club’s away game shirts.
Specialist Leisure Group chief executive Richard Calvert said: “We are delighted to have renewed our partnership with Wigan Warriors for 2020. Our values are aligned and it looks like next year is going to be so exciting, as we increase our investment in our people, holidays, events and hotels, just like the Warriors appear to be doing some amazing signings to add to their squad.”
Wigan Warriors executive director Kris Radlinski said: “We look forward to working closely with the staff at Specialist Leisure Group, whilst facilitating opportunities for fans and the local community to engage with both Shearings Holidays and SportingBreaks.com.”
