Marriott International yesterday competed the takeover of Barbados-based Elegant Hotels Group.
The deal was announced in October, valuing Elegant Hotels at £100.8 million.
The company owns and operates seven hotels and a beachfront restaurant on the island of Barbados.
Six of the seven properties are located along the west coast of Barbados, with the majority operated as all-inclusive resorts.
Marriott plans to carry out renovations to the hotels and intends to operate them as all-inclusive resorts under one or more of Marriott’s collection brands.
Shares in Elegant Hotels on the Aim market of the London Stock Exchange have now been suspended.
