Jet2 in-flight kids’ meals to come in recyclable boxes

New in-flight meal options for children on Jet2 flights will come in recyclable boxes.

The new meal boxes are available to order and will be on board flights from February 15 at a cost of £7.50.

They will contain a hot meal of either all-day breakfast, crispy chicken strips, macaroni cheese or sausage and mash plus a range of snacks.

An activity pack and colouring pencils is included. Different versions of the activity packs for outbound and inbound flights, plus special themed versions throughout the year will be introduced.

Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “Jet2.com customers constantly praise the extensive selection of hot meals available on board our flights and we are always looking at ways to expand our offering to ensure we provide customers with a great choice of food options.

“The new meal boxes are just another example of how we deliver a VIP customer experience, and we are sure that they will delight both parents and youngsters alike.”
