Traveltek has bolstered its account management team as it gears up for further growth in 2011.
Ivor Hughes, most recently client relationship manager at Comtec, has joined as regional account manager. He also spent several years at Micros.
The news follows several high-profile appointments at Traveltek including Neil Welsh, previously at Thomas Cook, as regional sales manager, and Chris Oakes, formerly at Holidaytaxis.com, as head of global accounts.
Hughes will be tasked with managing the company’s back office financial administration system as well as having a general account management role. Traveltek developed its back office system iBos 18 months ago. It now operates a single platform end-to-end selling system.
Managing director Kenny Picken said: “We wanted someone to champion the back office administration side as it is a very specialist subject. Ivor has great industry knowledge and is very well respected.”
