An online training academy for travel agents, home workers and tour operators has been relaunched by the UK chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association.
The revamped PATA Academy website is split into four regions – South Asia, South East Asia, North East Asia and the Pacific.
Within each region, each participating country has a bite-sized module that takes between 15 and 20 minutes to complete.
Each country module includes essential information to help sell destinations from Sydney to Shanghai, Bangkok to Bali and Mumbai to Moorea. Slide shows, videos, fast facts and downloadable information are included.
Successful completion of each module builds towards becoming an Asia Pacific Travel Expert, rewarded by online certification recognised by both PATA and Abta ATP points.
PATA UK chapter executive director Ian Hawkes said: “With a quickly developing marketplace and an ever-more discerning and knowledgeable customer, it has never been more important for the travel professional to constantly undertake destination training.”
PATA director Chris May added: “If you are serious about increasing your knowledge of the Asia Pacific region and successfully selling long haul destinations, then this is an essential online training resource.”
Existing PATA UK Asia Pacific Travel Partners and those new to the organisation, can sign up by visiting the PATA Acedemy wbsite.
