Thomson Airways cancels all Tunisia flights until mid-February

Thomson Airways has cancelled all flights to Tunisia up to and including February 16 as travellers continue to be advised against all but essential travel to the country.

Tour operators Thomson and First Choice are also allowing holidaymakers travelling up to and including February 27 to amend their holiday for free.

Holidaymakers due to travel until then are being offered alternative travel options and are urged to ring the helpline 0800 0093834. After that date normal booking conditions apply.

No decision has been made on flights after February 16. The company said it was waiting for the Foreign Office (FCO) to provide a longer term plan with regards to travel to Tunisia.

In a statement, the company said: “Tunisia is a very popular holiday destination amongst our customers. As soon as it is safe to do so, with a date agreed by the FCO, we want to offer our customers the opportunity to sample the holiday they have booked and paid for.

“Thomson and First Choice want to see the country back on its fee as soon as possible. It is money from our customers that will help the Tunisian people do that.”

Thomas Cook has already announced it has cancelled all departures to Tunisia until February 2.
