Tui Travel’s education division has made its third senior management appointment in a week. Aiden Barr has been named in the newly created position of IT director.
He was previously Aiden, previously the head of IT for the group’s ski division, setting up the IT department following the merger of First Choice Ski with Thomson Ski and Crystal.
This followed time at National Air Traffic Services where he held several roles in air traffic system development and IT management.
Barr will be responsible for bringing together the IT capabilities of 39 global companies within the education arm.
Chief operating officer Paul Hawkes said: “Aiden’s appointment demonstrates our focus and this structure provides the most effective way to maximise the growth potential of the division without compromising the individual brands’ strengths and values”.
