Claire Trevis has been named as managing director of cruise specialist retailer Ideal Cruising following its takeover by the Lowcost Travel Group.
Trevis, aviation and cruise director at lowcostholidays.com, previously worked at Royal Caribbean International and First Choice. She was given responsibility for the integration of Ideal into the lowcosttravelgroup since its acquisition at the end of last year.
Chief executive Paul Evans said: “Claire has done a fantastic job managing the smooth integration of Ideal Cruising into the group and I am delighted to announce her new role. “We have exciting plans for Ideal Cruising and Claire’s experience will be invaluable.”
Ideal Cruising was sold to Lowcost on November 1 giving the group a fourth division adding to its trade and consumer arms as well as transfer specialist Resorthoppa. At the time of the deal Ideal chairman Ian Brooks said he would stay on in an advisory cpacity.
