The New Zealand city of wellington has experienced an earthquake according to reports from the country this morning.
The New Zealand Herald reported that residents of the country’s capital were “jolted” by 4.5 magnitude quake overnight.
The tremor happened at around 10pm local time with reports saying it felt like the shock the city experienced during the recent Christchurch quake that left 148 dead.
The latest earthquake was at a depth of 40km and was centred 20km north-west of Wellington.
