Holidaymakers are due to return today (Wednesday) from the first Thomas Cook packages to Tunisia since the popular revolution in the North African country.
Four flights are due in the UK after last week’s first departures back to Tunisia since the recent political demonstrations.
Holidaymakers spent seven days in resorts including Hammamet, Sousse and Port El Kantaoui – all of which continue to operate as normal, including a now “near-complete” excursion programme.
Flights returning from Monastir are due to land at Newcastle, Gatwick, Belfast and Manchester.
Thomas Cook, which evacuated all of its 1,800 British holidaymakers from resorts in January, was the first operator flying back to the Tunisia with around the same number returning during last week.
Thomas Cook’s UK & Ireland’s Tunisia programme for the rest of the winter season will offer 16 flights a week from ten departure airports.
