Virgin Atlantic is creating 450 jobs under expansion plans this year.
The airline will need 350 cabin crew, 50 pilots and 50 staff at airports and its head office.
The recruitment drive comes as Virgin prepares to launch a new route between Manchester and Las Vegas, increase London frequencies to the Caribbean and Ghana and introduce new Airbus A330s.
Most of the new cabin crew jobs will support the additional weekly flights from London to Ghana, Tobago, Grenada and Havana.
The start of the Las Vegas route will create 100 crew jobs in the Manchester area.
Operations, safety and security director Corneel Koster said: “We have enjoyed a good year of recovery and can now look forward to expanding our network and welcoming a new fleet of aircraft.
“With the increases in flight rotations from our London airports and the new Las Vegas flight from Manchester, we will be creating jobs in both of these areas.”
The carrier announced 200 jobs for its new call centre in Swansea in November.
