EasyJet carried almost 12% more passengers in March than the same month last year. The budget airline flew 4.4 million people in the month, up from 3.9 million a year earlier.
But the passenger load factor dropped from 87.5% to 86.9%, reflecting route expansion over the past 12 months. EasyJet’s annual carryings for the 12 months ending March were up by 8.5% to 51.2 million from 47.2 million the previous year with an improved load factor of 87.1% from 86.4%.
