Kenya celebrates royal wedding with free flowers for Londoners

London commuters will be given roses on their way to work next Wednesday (20).

To celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton single Kenyan red roses from Flamingo Farm in Naivasha will be handed out by Masai tribesmen.

Clothed in traditional dress the Masai will be located at London Bridge, London Waterloo, Liverpool Street and Kings Cross underground stations from 7am to 10am.

Each rose gift will include a note encouraging passers-by to ‘Find romance in Kenya’ as Will and Kate did after the royal couple became engaged in Kenya in October last year.

Prince William picked a remote lake-side spot in the Lewa Conservancy on the slopes of Mount Kenya as the backdrop to pop the question to his future Queen.

Kenya Tourist Board partnered with the Kenya Flower Council and Masai Arts Organisation to organise this event with Hayes and Jarvis providing a special romantic holiday package.
