More than 100 travel agents have signed up to join Wendy Wu Tours and take part in The 2.6 Challenge on Sunday.
The event is being held on the day the London Marathon was due to take place and aims to help charities that would have benefited from the world’s largest single fundraising event.
Participants are asked to complete an activity themed around the numbers 26 or 2.6 for a charity of their choice, with the majority of those joining Wendy Wu Tours choosing to raise money for the NHS.
Other charities hoping to benefit from the event include Reuben’s Retreat and Just a Drop.
Wendy Wu sales director John Warr said: “All you have to do is take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26. So whether that’s a 26 mile bike ride, 26 star jumps in the comfort of your living room, or even 26 pancake flips, it’s time to get creative.
“There is no obligation to raise any money at all, however 85% of people who completed our poll wanted to raise money for the NHS.”
Warr has set up a JustGiving page, and has urged others to set up their own and share photos of their activities on the Wendy Wu agent Facebook page.
