A tour operator specialising in music and dance holidays has folded as a result of the “savage destruction” of the travel and entertainment industries as a result of the coronavirus.
Enjoy Travel, which was based in Lancashire, traded under the names Enjoy Travel, and Costa Del Folk using the websites enjoytravel.co.uk and costadelfolk.co.uk.
The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the company ceased trading on Friday, May 8.
A statement on the operator’s website said: “The savage destruction meted out to the travel and entertainment industries is without parallel and Enjoy Travel is totally immersed in both.
“This means that the future of the company is now untenable and following professional advice, the decision has been taken to cease trading on Friday 8th May 2020
It added: “As a fully licensed and bonded tour operator, anyone with a booking for a recently cancelled event or a future event will be reimbursed.”
The CAA said it was collating information from the company and will email Atol-protected customers with details on how to make a claim.
Enjoy Travel listed the steps its customers must take to obtain a refund on its website.
