LONG-haul specialist Premier Holidays has predicted that the tailor-made market will continue to thrive as it launched its 2000 US brochure.
The growth has prompted the operator to increase capacity by 30% next year with a range of new additions to the programme.
General manager Rob Haynes claimed a strong performance in 1999 – which he put down to the state of the market and Premier’s investments – would ensure further growth in 2000.
“The US is a maturing market moving towards tailor-made holidays,” he said. “We have also invested significantly in agency promotions and roadshows which we will continue to operate during the next 12 months.”
New for 2000 are ranching holidays in Arizona and Texas and the eastern Canadian cities of Toronto and Ontario. Capacity in traditionally popular destinations such as Las Vegas, New York, San Diego and Boston has also been boosted.
Flights lead in at £256 with car hire from £26 per day. Ranch stays cost from £89 per person per night.
Meanwhile, Florida and the Caribbean continue to be the operator’s biggest seller, accounting for 29% of sales. California and the West are the fastest growing regions with 27% and 19% of business respectively.
