Hayes and Jarvis makes foray into US market

HAYES and Jarvis has made its mark on the US market through the launch of a dedicated programme to the region.

The 52-page brochure features city breaks, self-drive tours, coach tours and also cruise options.

As well as appealing to its existing client base, the First Choice-owned operator is looking for additional exposure among a new audience.

“We have been planning our move into the US and Canada for some time – the destinations were an obvious gap in our product range,” said sales and marketing director Paul Lacey.

“This will open up the Hayes and Jarvis name to the mass of UK holidaymakers who take trips to the US. The non-Florida market is extremely varied and we needed to get involved.”

The programme is being pitched at the middle and top-end of the market with Lacey anticipating around 5,000 passengers in the first year.

Hayes and Jarvis is offering five pre-planned self-drive tours, including a southern states itinerary that starts in New Orleans.

A US adventure flydrive includes hiking and also has options for horse riding and white-water rafting.

Coach tours are featured in the new brochure along with four and five-night stays in New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, Phoenix/Scotsdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Orleans.

Prices start from £369 for four nights at the Holiday Inn Independence Mall in Philadelphia.

Hawaii options are also available from the West Coast with the islands of Oahu and Maui featured.

In Canada, three self-drives are featured along with an option to spend two days grizzly bear-watching.

Alaska is also featured including an eight-night cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines and the ‘Alaska Experience’ which takes in deluxe travel on trains, a cruise ship and aircraft.

The new brochure goes on sale on September 17.

Meanwhile, the operator is to launch its first dedicated Australia and New Zealand brochure later in the year in a further move to expand its portfolio.

It has previously featured Australasia only in its Worldwide brochure.
