Jet2holidays has extended the suspension of its holidays to the Canary Islands up to October 17.
The operator said it planned to resume flights on October 18, subject to its summer flying programme. The Canary and Balearic Islands remain off the government’s safe lists alongside mainland Spain, despite hopes being raised of a regional “island corridors” approach.
Jet2 said all holidays departing up to and including October 17 would automatically be cancelled with a full refund.
In a note to trade partners, it said it “still had plenty of holidays available to alternative destinations including Madeira, Kos, Rhodes, Corfu, Kefalonia, Cyprus and Turkey next week for your customers to rebook”.
Canary Islands holidays had previously been cancelled by the operator until September 26. Holidays to the Balearic Islands are cancelled until November 30.
