Thomson has issued five year-round brochures that cover travel between February 2012 and April 2013.
The move means that the operator is abandoning summer and winter collection brochures in favour of destination-only titles.
New destination titles include ‘Turkey & Bulgaria’, ‘Italy, Malta & Croatia’, and ‘Spain & Portugal’. The year-round Spain & Portugal brochure includes the Balearics, Canaries, Portugal, Madeira, Porto Santo and Cape Verde.
“As Thomson continues with its strategy to focus on unique holiday concepts, the time has come to say goodbye to Thomson’s Summer Collection and Winter Collection brochures, as it introduces destination-only brochures,” the operator said.
More basic ‘Just’ hotels will feature in forthcoming ‘Turkey & Bulgaria’ and ‘Greece & Cyprus’ brochures. The operator has 54 properties in the Just portfolio for May 2012 after recently adding seven to the line-up.
The Sensatori, 3T Favourites, Turkey & Bulgaria, Italy, Malta & Croatia and Spain & Portugal brochures showcase more hotels in a combination of destinations, new Thomson Couples units, nine new regional flights, extended Sicily and Florida programmes and new five-night durations in Alicante, Malaga, Sharm el Sheikh, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife from November 2012.
The operator has expanded its Couples adults-only programme by adding two more properties in Tenerife and Sharm el Sheikh to bring the portfolio up to 27.
The 3T Favourites concept, launched this summer, gains a stand-alone brochure with four new properties in Florida added. Hotels are only included if they are highly rated on TripAdvisor – scoring at least four out of five – and they hit or exceed the 85% mark with Thomson customers.
Lapland hotels will be sold under the Thomson brand from December 2012, including those previously featured by sister firm First Choice. Day trips from six UK airports have been added for next December.
Five extra flights to Sharm el Sheikh have been added between November 2012 and April 2013 from Gatwick on Wednesdays and Luton and Manchester on Sundays. Thomson will also be offering extra winter flights to Hurghada from October 2012.
Four new routes are being introduced for next summer: Naples from Newcastle, Marsa Alam from Manchester, and Larnaca from Gatwick and Manchester.
