River cruise specialist VIVA Cruises has acquired a former Hapag-Lloyd Cruises ship to start expedition voyages.
The former MS Bremen has been re-named Seadventure and is due to enter service with the German line in April 2021.
The vessel will carry 164 passengers with the maiden voyage planned from Bremerhaven in Germany on April 18-25 to Poland and Denmark. Prices start at €2,795 per person in an outside cabin.
The ship will then sail on three further seven-night itineraries to destinations such as Malmo and Gothenburg in Sweden, Kristiansand in Norway and Sylt in Germany.
Seadventure will feature Covid-19 health and safety measures introduced by the line.
The all-inclusive sailings include snacks, full board, high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, minibar, beauty products from luxury cosmetic brand, Rituals, and all tips.
A fleet of 14 Zodiac boats will enable passengers to explore smaller ports.
A €350 voucher is being offered to be redeemed across the company’s European river itineraries in 2021 when Seadventure bookings are made before December 31.
The line’s chief operating officer Andrea Kruse said: “We are delighted to launch this exciting new product and the first four itineraries to the UK market.
“MS Seadventure will offer a truly unique small ship experience, taking guests to some of the most breath-taking scenery on the North and Baltic Seas.”
