Holiday Extras has created a list of countries that UK citizens can travel to ‘hassle-free’ after lockdown.
The add-ons specialist has compiled a list of countries that have no quarantine restrictions either on arrival in the destination or on return to the UK, and can be reached by a direct flight.
For example, Madeira is included while the Azores are left out, because flights to the latter are only available via the Portuguese mainland, which is subject to travel restrictions.
The list does not account for testing requirements on arrival in countries, such as Dubai and the Canary Islands.
The UK’ current lockdown is in place until December 2, with an accompanying ban on all international travel, regardless of travel corridor but with exemptions for some work and education.

- Madeira, Portugal
- The Maldives
- The Seychelles

Seamus McCauley, head of communications at Holiday Extras, said: “This year has seen an endless series of changes in travel options, so understandably it can be confusing to know where we can go. Holiday Extras’ hopes that this list of quarantine-free countries helps the winter sun seekers jet off once more, when the second lockdown measures are lifted.
“There are plenty of destinations to travel for a hassle-free holiday. If somewhere is open and safe, with good weather and a beach, that’s plenty of holiday for us.”
