Flexible fares policy places Go in line for new business boost

British Airways’ low-cost airline Go is stepping up its efforts to lure more travellers from the business market by offering a new fares policy that waives extra charges for changing travel plans at a late stage.

The carrier said it wants to offer travellers greater flexibility than traditional airlines with up to 50% lower fares.

It has introduced a fare-band structure which waives the extra charges.

Increased flexibility is the latest of several measures being offered by Go to boost its corporate business.

The airline’s chief executive Barbara Cassani has already written to business travel agents who are based within 100 miles of Stansted to offer them a free flight to sample the Go product themselves (Travel Weekly August 9).
