I was sad to read your Mystery Shopper (Travel Weekly August 2).
For years we have been educating the trade about spa holidays. It is disheartening to read about the lack of spa knowledge when we have spent time marketing our 2000 programme.
We are the only specialist spa operator to offer agents commission on the whole booking – flights, hotels and spa treatments – and there is substantial commission to be made.
More agents should be encouraged to index file features from Travel Weekly so that they can easily access operator knowledge to answer such queries, particularly on the spa market.
