Ship to get 1950s-style diner

ROYAL Caribbean international’s mega ship, the 3,100-passenger Voyager of the Seas, is to become the first major cruise ship to feature a branded restaurant when it is launched this autumn.

The 1950s-style hamburger chain Johnny Rockets will open its first sea-going branch on the new ship. The restaurant will include all the features of the land-based version, including vintage1950s memorabilia, singing and dancing waiters and table-top jukeboxes.

Meanwhile Royal Caribbean International’s former district sales manager for Scotland and Ireland, Sharon Black, has returned to the cruiseline.

Black has been appointed district sales manager for Scotland, Cumbria and the Isle of Man and replaces Hazel Mansell, who has left to join Fort Valley Travel in Falkirk.
