ABTA SEES INTEREST IN WEB SITE SOAR


ABTA recorded the highest number of hits to its Web site last month, with 19,100 people accessing the site – up 23% compared to a year ago. The site includes links to different travel companies and countries. The most popular operator last month was Kuoni and the most popular country was Spain. The site is at: www.abtanet.com

Virgin Holidays hasintroduced a state-of-the art information service for holidaymakers in Florida. Reps in resort can access a database of attractions, tours and exhibitions which they can give to customers who want information on what to do and where to go.


PRINCESS CRUISES SITE ATTRACTS 30,000 HITS


A live transmission on Princess Cruises’ Web site has attracted 30,000 hits a day. The transmission shows the view from the bridge of the Grand Princess ship. The average user spends 15mins viewing the scenery. The site can be found at: www.princess.com


MACAU OFFICE STARTS OFFICIAL HOME PAGE


Macau’s Handover Ceremony Co-ordination Office has launched an official home page which includes an events calendar, official documents and news stories about the handover, from Portugal to China in December. The site is at: www.macau99.org.mo
