The Midlands Travel Trade Club has been relaunched to provide a networking platform for travel professionals in the region.
Elite Travel Events is behind the relaunch of the club which was a popular Birmingham-based event in the 1960s and 1970s.
There will now be bi-monthly events, the first planned for ‘All-Bar-One’ in Brindley Place, Birmingham on Thursday 29th November. Elite Events is planning to organise the events at different venues across the West Midlands.
The next event will be on January 31 at the Marco Pierre White Champagne Bar, in the Cube building in Birmingham.
Wendy Albutt, events manager at Elite Travel Events said: “The Midlands doesn’t really have a big travel industry presence, there aren’t many functions, so this is a way for travel colleagues to get together.”
The first event is backed by Birmingham Airport, Emirates Airlines and Holiday Extras, and anyone involved in the industry is invited. There will be complimentary drinks and tapas and a prize draw.
Elite Events also organises the Midland Travel Trade Ball.
