Travel brochure distribution and consumer marketing services company BP Travel Marketing Services has been taken over for £12.6 million.
The Kent-based company and its parent Orbital Marketing Services Group have been acquired by Menzies Distribution, part of John Menzies.
Menzies Distribution’s primary activity is newspaper and magazine distribution and it also owns field marketing specialist The Network. Sister division Menzies Aviation operates airport ground handling.
Paul Markland will continue in his role as managing director of Orbital and the existing management will continue to run BP. The business was established 1972 by Joe Burford.
Sales and marketing director Steve Martin said: “This is an exciting time for us with a strong and ambitious new parent keen to support our existing team in building on what has been achieved so far.”
Menzies Distribution managing director David McIntosh said: “Our acquisition of Orbital Marketing Services Group allows us to strengthen our core proposition in print media distribution and take advantage of new opportunities for growth.”
